When the big night arrived, the group got dressed up in their finest clothes and made their way to the Gershwin Theatre on W 50th St. The familiar billboards and crowds of Times Square made it feel like an extra special theater-going experience. The lavish costumes, spectacular dancing, and illusions were a feast for the senses, from the flying monkeys to Elphaba levitating across the stage.
